Why are people into gore?

I'm gonna be dead honest, I don't understand why people are into gore or child porn. What do they think is good about it? (Be serious)

Gore gives a sense of morbid reality, which we are surrounded daily with. It's a reminder what can/if/will happen to any of us during any point of our meaningless lives. Acceptable.

Child porn on the other hand -

CP & gore? It's been mentioned ITT, but there's no connection.

Gore is something that grabs you at first, and depending how graphic that first encounter is, and how you handle it, will likely make you want more, or want out.
I can't speak for others, but it became a way of life for me. I stopped watching TV when I realized just how washed out the mainstream media is. The censorship and agenda pushing is everywhere, so I would spend my free time finding new content to post. I found out I have a knack (if there's such a thing) for searching out obscure and hard to find videos, and this 'hobby' turned into me being asked to become staff on a site in 2016.

I went from moderator to administrator during the first year, and eventually co-founded a shock/gore site that we ran up till last year.
I recognise the stigma attached to it, my own friends and family say they can't understand why I'm so passionate about something so gruesome, and people definitely treat me differently when they find out, but everyone I've met on all the sites I've been to are just like your average internet user. Maybe there's a higher percentage of genuine psychos and outcasts, but there's a lot of 'normal' users too.

That first mod job involved me editing and watermarking the entire site's videos, so I ended up watching everything and I kept aback up of the originals. That was roughly 4-5 thousand videos. I added those to my archive, which is almost 30K vids, and it adds up to a lot of death that I've witnessed on tape.

I've learned that life can be snuffed out in the blink of an eye, human beings can be unbelievably cruel to each other, and you should always look both ways before crossing the road.

And never get a job in a Chinese factory.

Also can't see the correlation between CP and gore either.
Convicted pedophiles have been found to have beastiality in their collections.

You should have asked Freud, he would probably would have had a good answer

Gore tends to bring up a feeling whenever people view it that causes either disgust and a nauseating knot in their stomach or it brings them a sort of thrill in seeing it, I am assuming you are referring to it in a more sexual context just because you mention cp. As far as Gore in a sexual context it is probably a split between that thrill people can feel and an interest in more taboo topics, Another thrill of going against norms and looking at things that could be seen by others as not socially acceptable 🤔

As far as why people are into cp, I don't know or want to.....

They are quite unrelated though! Interesting that you put them in the same thread
