gnome is a great DE, i love how it's so minimal that it basically forces you to use it the correct way (keeping hands on keyboard, limited use of the mouse for launching applications). this is the ideal. many others try to replicate a windows experience just because users are lazy and don't want to learn a different workflow.

Well, Personally, I dont use desktopn environment. I prefes use windows manager like I3, I already used it a lot, and it really easy my workflow. |
