Hey all, finally decided to bite the bullet and install mysql and organise some dbs i have.

I have a few SQL dumps, and attempted to import them via the wizard but noticed its taking a heck of a time to even load up a 2gb file...
I haven't played with any settings. Anyone know how to speed up the process of importing dbs?

maybe you can use powerful RDP. RDP has pretty good internet speed & dumping will defiantly fast.

import sql file using cmd client (workbench) + vps 24/24 it took me 3 days to import 30gb sql file into sql workbench
