Marriott discloses a massive data breach affecting up to 500 million guests
#1
Hospitality giant Marriott today disclosed a massive data breach exposing the personal and financial information on as many as a half billion customers who made reservations at any of its Starwood properties over the past four years.

Data itself for 327 million is insane - names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, dobs, and passport numbers(!).

I hope that Raidforum will be the first where we can download the leak

Anyone knows if someone is selling it?
#4
^^ Seconded. Hmu if somebody is selling the db

Since 2014? Man their security is pretty shit.... someone has been accessing your DB for four years and you didn't notice? Are they dumb?
#6
i think if they had access for that long, they were selling the base the same time too. Probably it wont be one dumb or in one piece. Most likely this base will be broken into parts and not identifiable...

I would imagine the perp would already have started to try an monitise the data by now, they had four years of access.  I suspect we will never see it.
