Best way to encrypt external disk, on linux ?

Dont tell me use TrueCrypt or VeraCrypt

If you don't want to use VeraCrypt there are numerous alternatives. For example Cryptmount, Cryptsetup or eCryptfs.

Why dont use VeraCrypt ? if you think it is not safe, other encrypt softs maybe have same question.

Truecrypt is long dead and veracrypt was audited a few years back and cleaned up so what makes you say it's pwnable..?

Just encrypt the USB with LUKS encryption.

I don't know what's wrong with veracrypt, it's open source, it's up to date, it's easy, it's free, and it's cross platform, why would you want anything else?

LUKS for the whole disk encryption, maybe BestCrypt for containers

Veracrypt seems a polarising choice, but I'd opt for that.
