Copy Right Strikes - How does one use fair use?
#1
How does one use fair use? As Walt Disney said no to a video of mine (Star Wars), and it contained music that Walt Disney wanted gone, is there anyway for me to say no to Disney, with fair use?

in reality fair uses do not exists on youtube.
if you say it is for fair use purposes,
if the original artist or creator thinks and decides that
it is infringement
they will give you a copy right strike

i once had a healthy youtube channel
one day youtube decided to delete it without any reason
without any strike
in short youtube does it want, without giving any reason.

Youtube is hard on copyright beccause they have a history of allowing a lot of leeway in the past, and now that they want to be seen as legitimate (and are desperate for money), they've gone 180 degrees in the other direction and go overboard on copyright strikes.

Generally, with copyright, it's better to be safe than sorry,,, try to avoid using other peoples material if you can help it, and if you can't, use as little as possible. Just saying that you're not using it to make money doesn't automatically make it ok, the copyright holder might not want their property associated with you or your content for example.

"Fair use" is usually just for allowing people to create parodies, critiques or short reviews of something. If your video has Star Wars material in it for these reasons, you can refute the copyright claim,, otherwise, Disney wins.
