Hi guys, I've just registered and I'm also beginning studies about car hacking.

I wish to work on some studies about the upcoming Internet of Vehicles (IoV) security insights and I'm looking for hints.

As a feedback, here's a picture of the delicacy my nickname talks about (some Brazilians might understand what it is):

Hope you have a car to test . Smile

I don't think it will be a problem. If you don't have a car, we'll steal it Smile

Yeah, but I think I'll probably break it.

Hijacking through LTE/5G connections, that's the target.

On DEFCON Chris Valasek and Charlie Miller did something like it on a Jeep Cherokee (i think many have already seen these news): Hackers Remotely Kill a Jeep on the Highway—With Me in It

I'm looking to become a security specialist on this topic, as 5G-V2X seems a promising tech and will probably be popular.

I know this all sounds interesting but far to happen right now, but I think it will be fun

A bit because car manufacturers try to hide their specs.

A good starting point (I'll probably go for it) is through OBD interfaces, it's possible to do some fun buying a $5 wireless dongle and playing with the CAN bus.
