Definitely Kali, it has a lot of security tools in it. Would give it a try.

Lol Kali. I would go for basic Ubuntu or Linux Mint. Between these 2 I would say I prefer Mint.

Ubuntu really is great for beginners. There are a lot of useful topics on the net - very many tutorials and snippets as well.

the best distro for new users would be linux mint, or pclinuxos.

but i recommend you running a distro firstly in a VM, to get used to package managers and stuff like that.

later you can move on to debian or fedora. if you are a masochist, you can install arch, void or gentoo.
#8
Debian is much easier !
#9
i think ubuntu is a nice Linux distri .. works well and when you come from Windows its easy to use.. for hacking i would suggest kali Linux.
#10
mint is solid linux distro
#11
ubuntu then parrot sec
#12
Debian or kali depends what u want it for really
