Best os for low cpu/ram machines?

Looking for a light os that doesn't use much cpu/ram any good linux os?

Any Linux distro honestly. Except Ubuntu, that shit sucks.

Maybe try Linux Lite or Lubuntu....they need little RAM and work well on old computers too. Out the two...I think Linux Lite is probably my fav GUI for lightweight OS Smile

Lubuntu will be the best cuz of low resource hungry LXDE

I would recommend Noobs. They have a x86 version of it. Runs great on machines with low specs.

I ussed very good distro - Crunchbang. It is very simple and require really low spec.

I use Debian with i3 WM and works like a charm as a "light distro"

NOOBS is not an OS. It is installer for multiple distros.

32-bit Debian distro would be a good fit.

It is mostly the DE which uses the most RAM, you can use a lightweight DE with distro.
