"The police are currently tracking high energy consumption areas across Iceland in hopes the thieves will turn the stolen servers on, which could potentially lead them back to the stolen servers' location."
that is a big loss .....
This sort of resembles those news on the TV where you hear thieves just stolen the entire ATM from the building so they dont waste time...
there are much easer ways to make money wit cryptocurrency.  mining is edge game, even in iceland where heating not a problem.
if you cannot hack it , try that method lollolololol
they should hmu with a 1050ti
It is a shame that they did not address the security threats in the planning phases of their business plan.  With that amount of miners it would have taken a large truck to get the miners out of there.  This has to be either an inside job or someone was threaten not to talk.
Should've stolen other crypto mining hardware
Makes you wonder how it's possible to steal $2million in hardware without getting caught. Inside job?
I wonder if they had any mined coins or something on the hard drive. Could have netted them some bitcoin too
How could it happen that you have 2million worth of cumputer but no security lol
